The falls themselves were amazing. Although falls may not quite be the right word; cascades of water may be more just. Either way, Stephanie, Elizabeth and I saw nature at her best. I just lay on the rock and gazed up at the water splashing down. I was about ready to close my eyes and take a nap on the rock, as I felt the sun shine on me and heard the water cascade down. We were fortunate to not encounter many other folks on our path. A true little gem.
That evening was spent at the Front Porch this homey Mexican restaurant with a live bluegrass band. The ambience itself was worth all.
As I sat there at our table, sipping on my wine coolers (BYOB), I looked around and observed the local crowd, the quirky eclectic decor. And once the band got going for a while, Elizabeth and I made our way near the stage and had a jolly time dancing.
A delightful weekend it was, saddened only by hearing the news of President Reagan's death.
