about this blog
Why chai at six? Because growing up, my family and I would have chai every evening. Those moments of my youth are among my most favorite memories.

Who am I? A twentysomething working fulltime in Knoxville, Tenn. See my site for more.

    chai at six
Me and Ms. Norah Jones, and other such pleasantries
I've had the most blissful couple of weeks it seems like I hardly ever want to get online or watch television anymore now. And although it seems like parts of my life are in disarray, but it's still all good.

In other pleasantries, I met Norah Jones while having dinner in Knoxville and exchanged quite a pleasant conversation with her. She seemed like such a sweet and genuine person and though I felt a little weird approaching her, she didn't seem to mind too much. The meeting ended with her boyfriend, Lee, taking a photo of the two of us using my cameraphone. Coincidentally, Kent, Stephanie and I attended her concert the next night. It was pretty good, despite being held in a basketball arena. At one time, I'd closed my eyes and felt like I was hearing a beautiful lullaby.

I visited the family early this month in Philadelphia where I got to see the always amazing Bhajyu. He's getting so big now and boisterous and fun to hang out with. He's big into Elmo, Clifford the Dog and Blue's Clues. Cute.

Recommendation: Kent and I watched "Motorcycle Diaries" a few weeks ago and I totally recommend it. It's poetic and reaffirms my conviction of just how beautiful people are who stand up for what they believe in, and who inspire by simply making a difference. Good stuff. Especially when Gael Garia Bernal is the lead actor. Yum.

All in all, some happy times. Hope the same for you.
