about this blog
Why chai at six? Because growing up, my family and I would have chai every evening. Those moments of my youth are among my most favorite memories.

Who am I? A twentysomething working fulltime in Knoxville, Tenn.

Please note that all thoughts and comments described in this blog are purely my own and do not reflect the thoughts or attitudes of the company I work for.

    chai at six
The excitedness and optimism I had for 2004 in late 2003 just isn't here this year for 2005. I remember really looking forward to all these cool things 2004 would bring: traveling around the U.S., out-of-town guests, fun, parties etc.

It seems like 2005 holds no such enthusiasm for me.

Maybe it's just about time. I was telling Kent how I'm letting go of my expectations for something cool for New Year's Eve because no sort of plan has been made and I'm one who likes to have some sort of an idea of what's going on.

Anyhow, it sucks the enthusiasm is gone. But I guess it's part of growing up. Damnit.

In other news, it's been interesting being in a relationship. Interesting is the best word to describe it, but also good and comforting and fun.

We've been on a roadtrip to Memphis and Nashville; a secret-city train ride in Oak Ridge; bars and movies; dinners out, dinner parties and cooked in. It'll be good to see how things progress in 2005.

But, still, in all venues, here's hoping 2005 has even just a tad bit amount of luster 2004 had.

    Happy New Year.

[ps, to folks who have emailed me and don't get a reply: please accept my sincere apologies. i have totally slacked on personal email.
ps, to the very few regular readers, who i have probably lost now that my blog has almost died: i hope you return. a resolution of mine will be increased postings. look out for a list of resolutions in january.]

    Bonne Annee!
